SPOKANE ASSEMBLY

The following is a list of events in finding and obtaining a meeting hall here in Spokane, WA.

Mon. Feb 1 Jessica is waiting in front of the Flying J for Faith.  She grabs a Real Estate Guide and starts from the
back.  She spots a church for sale.

Wed. Feb 3 An email is sent out with pictures and information of the building for everyone to look at.
Sam calls Andy D. and tells him the address because Andy lives close by.

Thurs Feb 4. He pulls into the parking lot and gets out of his truck and a car pulls up.  It’s the owners Manual and
Linda of Fountain Ministries.  They are very welcoming to Andy and invite him in for a tour.  Andy gets a tour of
the whole building.  He asks Linda, “Now what is your best price?”  Her response was “We’ll let’s see!”  And she
opens her computer and shows Andy the balance owing on the property.  Well maybe $145k she says.  And they
want to sell the piano for $1500.00

Andy calls Sam and Donna and they go back to the church at 4:00 and meet with Linda to see the property.  Andy
has a full report of what he knows at Prayer Meeting.  Very timely.

Sun Feb. 7 Happens to be business meeting!  A decision is made to write an offer.  Based on Andy’s information
and work we know how to write the offer and for how much.  We took their best price of $145k and added in all the
sellers’ costs.  Our offer was $155k Original listing price was $179,000.

Tues Feb. 9 The offer is written and sent to Larry and Lee for review.

Wed. Feb 10 Offer was sent to Jonathan the listing agent.  We had first put the 11th down as the counter offer
date, but then thought they would need more time to get together with the board members and make a decision.
So we changed the counter offer date to Mon the 16th.  The offer was sent over at 11:30 Wed. morning.  Lenae
followed up with Jonathan at 4:00 to see if there were any questions.  He said “NOPE, the offer is already signed
and agreed upon!”  The whole time we had been in prayer they had too.  Fountain Ministries knew what they were
going to do they just needed our offer.  In fact the agent called me on Tuesday wondering if there was a problem
because the offer had not been sent yet.  Linda from Fountain Ministries called Andy D. to ask where our offer
was at.  So the offer was for $155k to include everything in the building from piano, sound equipment, kitchen
stuff, furniture, etc.  The closing date was set for March 31st.

Thurs Feb 11 Larry meets with America West Bank for lending.

Friday Feb 12th Lee makes some phone calls about lending.  Bank of America will only lend to us if we have 900
members in our church.  Another lender would give us a loan at 12% interest.

Larry meets two board members at work.  He explains our new purchase and if America West could help us with
the loan.  They both replied that they will make it work.  Yvonne the commercial lender called Larry and said that
it looks favorable.  The building was open for any who wanted to see it.  A ceiling sample was taken and given to
Heidi to check for asbestos.  The report came back negative.

Thurs Feb 18th The building inspection is scheduled at 8:30am.  While we were there the city Fire Dept showed
up.  He was there to do his yearly inspection.  This was not scheduled; he just happens to come by that day at that
time to see if anyone was there.  Rich was there to greet him and listen to work order that needed to be done for
service.  Before the Fire Chief could leave Rich had the work order done!  So he took the new name and passes
us on the inspection.  The builder inspector knew that we were having Bible Study that night.  So he said that he
would work extra hard to get the inspection report completed so that we could have a full report to everyone at
the Prayer meeting.  And he did. Roger had an email report sent by 5:00pm.

Also that night, Larry was informed that America West bank would be able to give us a loan at 6% interest, not
12% and no member requirement!  AMEN!!

Another sample from the floor was taken and inspected by Heidi.  This time her boss said that she would donate a
full report for the ceiling and the floor.  This report would be needed if any remodeling were to be done.  The floor
report came back negative.

March 1st, Appraisal has been ordered.  The value of the building if needed to be replaced is over $340k.  WOW

March 8th Title Company is requesting documents out of our Sherman Hills Board Meeting.  They want minutes
and members.  They are satisfied with what was provided.  Title Company is happy.

March 9th Appraisal is done.  Yvonne the lender is putting the documents together.  The building appraised for
$155k.  There is always room for more value but the answer to prayer was that it wasn’t below the $155k.
The closer Richard Perednia is happy with all the documents.  We are just waiting for the loan documents from
America West bank.

Fountain Ministries has declared that March 15th will be there last Sunday, and Monday they will be moved out.
March 12th Two signers are now needed to sign and close the paperwork.  Larry and Harold are to sign.  Still
working on insurance quotes.  Phone calls not being returned.  One company came in really high.  Decision is
made to stick with the insurance company we already are working with.  Loan documents are ready.  They are
reviewed by Larry who read every word!  Questions were raised but Yvonne explained and answered all questions.
Tues. March 16th SIGNING DAY.  Hal and Jean, Larry and Lenae met at noon to sign.  Lenae pinched Larry
during the signing just to make sure it was really happening.  The deal Funded and was recorded at the County
Office, the same day.  Completely not normal.   Jonathan said that keys were ready to be picked up at his office.
I picked them up and he had a very nice Thank you card written.  He said in our phone conversation that he knew
the Lord was with us from the first day.  Fountain Ministries was in unison and they were happy with everything.
Jonathan said that when he received our offer for $25k less than asking price he thought we were crazy.  But
when he sat down with the Board and told them our offer, they all had smiles on their faces and they were all
shaking their heads yes.  Fountain Ministries asked Jonathan “well what do you think?”  Jonathan’s response
was “It’s not my building, whatever you want to do.  Fountain Ministries’ heart was to be a blessing to the new
owners because it was such a blessing to them when they bought it.  So they all agreed.  They said they had all
been in prayer about it and met before the board meeting.  So the $155k offer was accepted the day it was written.
Amazing!!

March 17th, The building was re-keyed.

March 18th, Thurs, Everyone received their own NEW key to the building.  Hot off the grinder!  Chuck and
Shirley donate a stove, refrigerator, and a vacuum.

Sat. March 27th. MOVING DAY 7:00am  Hal, Jean, Esther, Larry, Linda, Chuck, Sam, Donna, Andy D., Lenae,
Allyson, Brandon, Faith, Andy M, Joey, Alex, Michelle all show up to move.  The grange was packed by 8:00am.
WOW, it worked out so well.  Heading to the new meeting hall by 8:15am.  Jaclyn came at 9:00 for a McDonalds
run.  By 9:30 coffee was done and breakfast sandwiches had arrived.  We all needed a break.  Faith and Michelle
tackled the nursery and pre-school like nothing flat.  Lenae was a bit overwhelmed.  Donna, Jean, Linda, Esther
took on the kitchen.  Allyson and Brandon did a great job packing in all the stuff on the wheelchairs.  You make
work fun and it hardly seems like WORK!  We all had smiles on our faces even at 7:00am in the morning.  The
work bee was done about 2:00pm.  Michelle answered many prayers that day by volunteering to clean the
meeting hall each week.  Praise God for Michelle’s gift.

Sun. March 28th the rest of the grange hall was cleaned up.  Books and toys were taken over to the new meeting
hall.  Most people gathered there to see our old stuff in a new building.

Thurs April 1 was the first Prayer Meeting.  We were all in the heavenlies rejoicing for answered prayers.

Friday April 2 Linda, Lenae, Allyson, Brandon went to Kennewick.  Eva & Sergio donated 8 8ft tables and 20
patio chairs to the new meeting hall.  We now had enough tables!

Sat. April 3rd Another work party.  Linda had purchased all the tablecloth material from Wal-Mart had in stock.
Not knowing the table situation or how many yards, she took all of it.  After tables were assembled and
tablecloths cut, there was not 1 inch left over or 1 inch too short.  There was just enough!!  The work party was a
couple hours to make final preparations for Easter Sunday and Easter potluck.  It was going to be a fabulous day.
